The Petite Charles is an excellent replica of a typical shrimp cutter from Vendee, which is based on the Sables-d’Olonne just as it is. The model is delivered fully assembled. The hull is made of robust fibreglass. The Marie Astrid can also be a very beautiful display model.To achieve this elevated quality the boat's hull is moulded in strong GRP, while the superstructure consists of laser-cut wooden and ABS parts. The model also features a large number of small metal items, all ready-made and most of them factory-installed. The rigging is completely factory-assembled and features releasable fittings, so that the system can be removed easily for transport. Installation of the RC components is a fast,straightforward task thanks to the generous deck openings. The large number of detail features and fittings give the model a very impressive scale appearance; the fine detail of the superstructure is a good example of this. |
