The Sara is an original copy of an ocean going Catamaran and has a big sail area. This alows for good speeds even by light winds. The Sara looks stunning, her sailing qualities are brilliant and you dont need deep water to sail her. Sailing catamaran, which is supplied with hull and deck moulded in a plastic shock-resistant material, inside two plywood frames give a considerable solidity to the whole structure. The mast and boom are made of aluminium, whereas the details (spreaders, mast foot, masthead, etc.) are moulded in stiffened ABS.
The DACRON sails have been pre-cut and are ready-to-assemble.
The radio control mounting plate, which need to be secured inside the hull, rests on the two plywood frames, therefore also acting as a stiffener.
The assembly kit contains all the plastic and wooden fittings required to assemble the model, as well as the assembly drawings and the relevant instructions in four languages: Italian, English, French and German.
A dual-channel radio control, which is not supplied in the assembly kit, is needed for SARA. |
