Hello Well that was the easy bit! Now its a bit more complicated

The Cars Trucks and buggys fall in to 2 main groups Engine powered and Battery powered.

  • Ready to Go Range
  • Ready to fly aircraft
  • ARTF Aircraft
  • Helicopters
  • Cars and Trucks
  • Yachts
  • Boats
  • Tanks
  • Links
  • Engine Powered

Thees models are powered by a small engine - The engine runs on a special type of fuel most know as Nitro. This fuel is in fact Methanol based. It is very flamamble and will make you ill if you drink it- The fuel is available from a Reputable modelshop and we can also supply it mail order. The engine powered models give more enjoyment - they are about the same noise level as a Moped. Skill patience and the ability to learn is required. Engine size and speed are far less important on RC models - Many manufactures have inflated claims for a top speed however we are more intereseted in reliability of the engine and the ability of the chassis to cope with the power available. As yet we have only seen a few models capable of getting near the 60-70mph mark Most omodels powered by a .12- .18 size engine are more than fast enough for anything other than Competition use. The larger models powered by the .21-28 size engines tend to accelerate fasterEngine life and reliability is very much controlled by the user, We have a reccomended fuel for each model that gives good powerer and also good life. and always clean the model after use- We have models in excess of 10 years old and still run perfectly

    ON Road Cars

    001ON Road Cars

Both Different groups will Run on road - Yet the on road wont go off Road - Confusing eh

On Road models are mainly Car based - They are designed to run on Tarmac or concreate. The sit low to the ground and have good steering and are quite allot faster then the off road models. Some models can be fitted with tyres suitable for running on short grass. The Cars have eithe 2 or 4 wheel drive - Like a full sized car 4 wheel drive gives much better grip at higher speeds making the car more responsive.  Some models have a 2 speed gearbox, This gives greater acceleration and top speed All of the Cars are fitted with a brake this slows the model down very quickly. The Cars tend to be built lighter and thus more fragile than the off road models to gain maximum speed and grip- If Rchobby sell it then we back the model up with full spares

    Off Road Cars

    001Buggys and Staduim Trucks

The Buggy is the half way house between the On Road Car and the Monster Truck. Many Buggys shaare a similar design to the cars but they sit much higher off the ground and have stronger suspension with grippy tyres. Buggys are fantastic in rough grass and dirt, On resonably flat grass such as a football field a buggy will be almost as fast as the equivilent on road model- Buggys are excellent on road as well but tyres tend to wear very quickly. Some models have 4 wheel drive and as with the car some have 2 speed gearboxes although this is not as much use off tarmac. Buggys tend to be much stronger than on road cars and withstand a crash better

    001Monster Trucks

Moster Trucks are awsome - The models are built very strong and they are designed to be jumped climbed a bashed over things. They have large wheels with big grippy tyres that are excellent in rough ground. Many will have some water proofing for protection of the radio control equipment. They are much slower than the On road cars or the buggys but do have the ability to go over much rougher ground. The Suspension and chassis of a Monster Truchs will be much stronger than the cars and buggys and as they are designed to be knocked about they withstand impact much better. A single speed gearbox is a much better option for a monster truck - as we arnt interested in speed- Most monster trucks have excellent acceleration
