Thia is the smaller of our two titanic models . When I say small its still a mig RC model of the Titanic at nearly a meter long. I arnt going to go into the History of the Titanic - We all know it was the famous ship that when Celine Dion sang it sank (Sorry I know not funny) The model has been designed from the original blueprints - of the original Titanic (If you belive the conspiracy thory’s then the titanic became the RMS olympic) I am very proud to say this is a very very accurate model - The model comes Hand painted to the wonderfull finish you see in the pictures. It truy is beatifull no photos could ever do the level of detail justice - Its way above the average display model The Model is consists of a fiberglass hull, With all the portholes and details moulded in. This hull is painted in a 2 pack very tough paint and then laqured to a high gloss finish. The Deck and superstructure are whee the model makers excel. This is hand made from wood - Its not mas produced they are hand built. I have had the privalage of watching a model maker build one. All the main components are lazer cut from various woods. Theese are then assembled in to the basic structure. This is then hand sanded and detailed. Smaller details are made from cast resin and glued to ther model. Ther model then goes for painting - Again done by hand using Oil based paints. The hull is then fitted out with the rudder, and all the various mounts for the rc equipment. After quality control the model is packed and dispatched - On the water the tianic is a truly lady she looks superb - SThe models sits exactly right in the waterand creates a lovely scale wake. Shes esy to sail and quite responsive to turn Installation of the RC equipment is easy and we will on request do this for you if required. She comes with her own dispaly stand and looks truly superb on display |
