Semi-scale electric-powered model of a large passenger aircraft The Robbe Airliner finally enables any pilot to operate a model of a large passenger aircraft without problems or complications. From a hand-launch the machine produces a surprisingly realistic image in the air, just like the "real thing", with minimal noise and a beautifully balanced motor sound. Directional control is by rudder only, and turns are very harmonious and scale-like in appearance. To ensure that the model can be hand-launched safely and reliably, the underside of the low-slung wing features moulded-in hand-holds. Landings are just as simple, as the two motor pods work effectively as landing skids. Two 400-size motors, supplied with current from 7 NC cells, give generous flight times far exceeding 10 minutes. Low wing loading means low power requirement, and this is achieved by the use of lightweight design principles based on tough, moulded foam components.
